The Gator Girls are the Northern Illinois Chapter of the national organization Women in the Wind. Our chapter was founded in April 2004 and currently has 26 members.
Women in the Wind, as an organization, has 3 principle goals:
- Educate our members in motorcycle safety and maintenance
- Unite women motorcyclists with friends of common interest
- Promote a positive image to the public of women on motorcycles
If you are interested in becoming a member of our group and meet all of the following criteria please feel free to contact us, join us on a ride or attend one of our monthly meetings. Meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month.
- Be a female of any age
- Have a motorcycle permit or license
- Own or ride a motorcycle
